Which is the cleanest punchiest single coil, do they come with 5 or 2 wires?

Hi there, The middle pup of my ibanez may need a pup upgrade in the future, just wondering what to change it for?
I was thinking about a cool rails, but isnt this really a humbucker? Does this have 5 wiring or 2 , if so which colours (wires), and finally are all hum cancelling single coils 5 wire? The reason i ask this is because i dont want to have to do a really technical job (by my standards lol) and have to install a humbucker in place of a single coil... unless of course its easy lol!

A single coil is just a hot and a ground...Any of the "hum" type pickups in a Duncan pickup will have a black,bare,green,red,and white wire...

Pretty simple though..If you want to use your humbucker like a humbucker,you just connect white and red together,green and bare go to ground and black is your hot wire...Without looking(I think black is hot)... :smack:

Yes, black goes to hot.

Every Duncan pickup comes with a wiring diagram telling where to solder what color wire. No worries...

yeah, these guys have it right ..

only thing to add is in case you get a NOS singlecoil-sized humbucker with only 2 wires .. in that case, black is hot and white is ground ... my duckbucker is like that ... works/sounds great
