Ok guys, I am in the market for a new guitar, i want something solidly built, and versatile. I am trying to choose between a used Heritage LP, ( I can modify it for coil slitting and whatnot), a used PRS ce, and also this Minarik Inferno guitar which just looks damn cool. Im a little worried bout the Inferno being that its not USA- made ( i know other countries make fine instruments but i also feel a definite difference in quality after trying models out). I have owned a PRS and Heritage before, and wish i could get 1 of each, but im just havin trouble deciding. Im just throwing this out there to see what you all think.
thanks'

Personally, I think the Minarik Inferno looks f'in sweet!! I would love to try one out. Of course it's that or the PRS. But really, where else would you find a guitar that looks as cool as the Inferno? I love the way the body wood makes the flame tongues at the tail. And that finish... exquisite!!

Re: Which of these three guitars should I get?

I hate everything about PRS's. Heritage builds a good weapon, though.

Re: Which of these three guitars should I get?

Haha so by weapon you mean a formidable guitar, or just a nice chunk of wood to beat ppl with? Or both! haha thanks for the advice guys

Re: Which of these three guitars should I get?

Both! I've never played a Heritage that I thought was a crummy gtr. They just feel & sound like what a gtr should feel & sound like. If that makes any fv<kin' sense at all.

Re: Which of these three guitars should I get?

i've gotta vote for the PRS...it's on my list of guitars to own!!

Yea, havin owned a heritage and a prs, i can defintely tell the prs is lighter, brighter sounding. My main axe is an ed roman quicksilver, so maybe the heritage would be a good compliment to that?

If you like PRS you may like the new Carvin CT series as well.

OK last one. Gold top.

These are all in the instock section on their site.

Or you can have one built to your own liking from their list of options.

I've played several of the Carvin California Carved Tops, they are some fine guitars!! I've never been a Carvin fan but I can honestly see owning one of these in the not so distant future.

Re: Which of these three guitars should I get?

Those carvins really look sweet. Those quilt tops are real thick, and not veneers or fotoflames?

Those are actual thick carved figured maple tops. No veneers or photoflames.
Real deal.

All those Carvins look very nice, what sort of price do they go for?

Re: Which of these three guitars should I get?

CT6 starts at $1169
CT4 at $839
CT3 at $789.

That's with the $100 of all guitar purchases right now. Plus, options aare 50% off right now as well.

Re: Which of these three guitars should I get?

kherman, how goes it? Nice to see another g.commer enjoying the Duncan boards.

Back on topic, I would probably jump all over a Carvin if I was looking to spend 1-2K on a guitar, since I could get it built more to my specs.

Re: Which of these three guitars should I get?

Carvin makes a sweet electric guitar (not familiar with there acoustics although someone on this board gave a decent review of them)
However between your options above I would definitely go with the heritage - they are true guitar makers - if I am not mistaken some old Gibson folks started Heritage in one of gibsons old factories or something like that - anyway they do Gibson better than Gibson IMO
