so ive got a super distortion in my carvin and i was thinking of getting one of the parallel axis buckers. i heard blues saracenos sound and it seems like a pretty fat sound i really like his tone on songs like "chewing on crayons." the problem is, idk wat guitar he is using. my carvin is a really bright guitar. (alder body, birdseye maple board, neck thru, OFR) would the blues saraceno fatten the sound up? the super distortion is pretty fat souding for me right now, but i dont really like it, a bit muddy not too much character. im kinda lookin for a fat paf sound than can do modern tones as well. the tone in "chewing on crayons" would actually be really nice for waht i want.
i was also thinking about the PA distortion. but that thing is 21.3k???? that wouldnt relaly match with any duncan neck p'up would it? i was thinking of the a2p or pg in the neck, but those are like 7-8k, nowhere near 21.3. there would be a huge volume jump right?
