Which pickup/guitar combos are you 100% satisfied with?

Re: Which pickup/guitar combos are you 100% satisfied with?

Cool thread Joe....

For me, my EBMM Morse guitar is about as good as it gets stock. My Tele will be exactly they way I want, with a GFS Modern Vintage Lil Puncher Tele set, once I can install my GFS 10k Lil Killer Strat pickup.

Others that were great were my MIM 50's RI Tele. It had a JD in the bridge, Texas Special Strat pickup in the middle, and Gibson mini-humbucker in the neck position. My EBMM Albert Lee guitar was perfect with its stock APS-2's; especially once I slapped the baseplate from a Twang Banger underneath the bridge pickup.

I'm almost starting to think I'm in the wrong place. Does NO ONE love Jacksons in here?!

It's all strats and Les Pauls. :(
I love my Jackson PC-2.
And while I do have a Fender Strat, my other electric guitars are an ESP, a Kramer, a Robin, a Washburn USA, 3 Carving and a buncha Hamer USA. I guess I'd rather not play the same one every other kid on the block has, not that Gibsons, Fenders and PRS's are bad guitars.

As to pickup/guitar combos I'm 100% satisfied with:
The PATB-3 in my Hamer Diablo.
The Full Shreds in my Hamer Scepters.
The Custom Custom in my Hamer Monaco SuperPro's
The 59's in my Hamer Monaco Elite Mahogany
The SSL-3 Custom single at the bridge and Alnico 2 Pro singles in the neck and middle in my Hamer Vintage S and T-62
The Duncan Classic Stacks in my Jackson PS-2 (still deciding what bridge humbucker I like in that guitar though)
The Duncan Hot Stacks in my Robin Medley (though again, I've tried a few bridge humbuckers in that one. I think I got it right now with the PATB-3).
The stock JB and single coils in my Washburn USA MG-??.
The Joe Bardens in my Hamer Steve Stevens 2.
The factory Hamer single coils in my '86 Hamer Chapparal. Still deciding what bridge humbucker I like in that one though.

Cool - I would love a PC1 but can't justify spending that cash on a guitar. My SL3 was a compromise and I'm glad I got it, it's a beautiful instrument.
Still fancy a sustainer pup for it though....!

I've had such bad experiences with the import Jacksons. They just don't make them as good as they used to. Yes, the most expensive one I got was the Japanese SL series..sweet sounding guitars..but the quality was just junk from my experiences.
