I think I'm going to replace the speakers in my cabinet, I just dont which of the 1,000,000 available to choose from. I would be getting rid of the Celestion 75s. Heres my setup:
1982 Marshall JCM 800 2203 with KT88 Tubes
Marshall 1960A 4x12
Epiphone Les Paul with Seymour Duncan JB
Boss SD-1
The 75s almost seem a bit muffled, I want something that shines more, has better projection. I can almost hear the sound I want with the setup I have, but I believe the speakers are holding everything back a little bit. Bands I would like to sound similar to are Lit, Green Day, Papa Roach.
Does anyone have any suggestions for which speakers? Ive been told the Vintage 30s would do the trick? Thanks!
