Which strat would you choose...

GJ's list of the most collectible strats got me thinking. Which one would you choose if you could only have one?

SRV's #1 is my hands down favorite.

Probabally #1, but i wouldnt be able to play the damn thing with those strings and bass frets, but i guess i could just change the strings.

The second one id take is Hendrixs woodstock strat, and the 3rd is Hendrix/Zappa Strat.

i voted for blackie based on the price it sold for...i would have no need to keep it so if i got it i know i could sell it for a ton. but if it's one of the 10 i had to pick and could not sell it would prob. be hollys or SRVs.

Being the Beatles-obsessed person that I am, I would take Harrison's Rocky strat first. But Brownie or No. 1 or the Woodstock strat wouldnt be bad either

Well, number one has the most mojo to me, but i'd feel wrong about oning it. The Zappa/Hendrix is something I'd be happy to play, however.

Definitely the Hendrix/Zappa Strat - once owned by not one, but two of the all-time greats - can't beat it.

I'm partial to Rory Gallagher's '61 "Where's the paint?" Strat ...

I remember reading him telling how he ended up getting the guitar ... but 8 years of other stuff entering my head makes me forget it.

SRV for me. A working players guitar, nothing too precious and this goes for "Blackie" and Jimi's '68 as well.

Will get to see Holly's Strat in a couple of weeks at the Frankston Guitar Festival, http://guitar.frankston.vic.gov.au. Just the matter of being short the $350,000 to own it!

I voted for Rory Gallagher's. He and that guitar were iconic to me in my teens.

Actually, I don't want any of those. The Strat that I want is the one that Samantha Fox posed with for Playboy's UK magazine around 1996. I'm sure it's nothing special tonewise, I just thought it was a really cool looking Strat. It was neon pink with a white pearloid pickguard and a maple neck. The fact that she was holding it didn't hurt, either.
