which one do you recommend me, i have seen the korg and fender ones but dunno anything more

thanks a lot in advance

I've been using the Korg/Toneworks DTR-2 since 2001 and it's always been dead on. It has a big display so I can tune from the floor before the set with a wireless using a record out from my preamp to feed it with the power amp on stand-by. Doing it that way keeps it out of my signal path.

They are a little pricey but definately worth the money.

They are actually very transparent. I just like to keep things that don't make tone out of the path.

I'll have to agree. My DTR-2 has worked perfectly for 4+ years, and has great features. I really like the fact that it has an easy access mute button so you can mute your entire rig. I actually choose to put it at the end of my signal chain (weird huh) and then hit the mute button whenever I take a break.

Every pedal and/or rack effect I have tried seems to leave some sort of footprint in my overall sound, but this thing leaves none at all.

the other thing that i was wondering is, can i bypass the signal so i can tune the guitar without hearing anything via midi pedalboard or something? i´ll be using this behringer midi board that is using everyone lately, but i dunno if it will work with the tuner and the maximizer (p.e. using the bank 2 as the mute function, and again bank 2 to return to the original sound)

does the g major have a tuner?

nope, but it has a noise gate, i dunno if it will be like the boss pedal or the hush... i´ll have to try first

Re: which tuner for rackmount systems do you recommend me?

The G Major does have a tuner but the display is fairly small. You can't miss the display on the DTR-2.

I'll check out the 1000 and 2000 and make a suggestion.

Re: which tuner for rackmount systems do you recommend me?

Ok, the DTR-1000 is all you'll really need. The DTR 2000 has more features but they are a little over the top and the price doesn't really support the added features.

The 1000 does have a latch type jack for remote muting but it doesn't support midi. If you have a preamp or other device with a ground-tip switch send you can mute the 1000 from the floor.

Tuner for a rack?? Dude, nothing beats the Petersen 590r... nothing. Period. You will never buy another tuner after that ;)

Re: which tuner for rackmount systems do you recommend me?

I have a Korg- I think it's a DTR-2.

I'm not too thrilled with it. It's great because it's a rack tuner, but I find that it's "too accurate." You spend a lot of time bouncing between sharp and flat. I end up "ball parking" it.
