While I'm known for playing Dean Cadillacs lately...

Aceman

I am your doctor of love!
Some days you just have to rock the real-deal. Yesterday was one such day.
I brought out the Gibson Les Pauls:

1996 Les Paul Studio Gem Topaz [Duncan Vintage Bridge in neck, Custom neck in bridge]
1974 Custom shop reproduction Ace Fehley Aged Budokan [Dimarzio SuperDistortion in bridge] "Christine"
1973 Les Paul Standard Tobacco Sunburst [Dimarzio PAF neck, SuperDistortion Bridge] "Jaci"
1979 Les Paul Standard Cherry Sunburst [T-top neck, Duncan Distortion bridge] #1

To quote the Scorpions, "I know for me it is like - coming home!"

Nice! I've been really into P90 Les Pauls. Didn't know you had that Studio.

3 piece maple LP necks rule. Bright and beyond strong. I did a neck bend dive that made the eyes pop out of the skull of a guy that was over

While I am in love with all 4 of your Lesters I am put off by the fact you have one more than me. I could call my SG a Les Paul but that would be a stretch. Time to go shopping.

I always wanted a ZW Les Paul because of the build. Every one I played was just great, but I could never deal with that stupid paint job.

You’ve got one more LP than I do....
Looks like I need to catch up!!

Re: While I'm known for playing Dean Cadillacs lately...

Hey - I'll take the heat from your chic's - "I had to, Aceman has more Les Paul's than I do!"

As always - buy used....

It's so great to see my LP again, Jaqi. Looks like you've been taking good care of her. She is the original booby test guitar after all. One question though.... have you updated your will and let your family know where the guitar goes in the event of your untimely demise? Your ex-wife knew where to send it, but we're in a different league now.

They all look beautiful and I love the variety. I just today noticed that Seymour makes a HB in P90 body. That should have a cool mini hum vibe, if you get an urge to change pickups.

Very nice collection of Lester's.

Ps. I still can't believe you pulled #0016 on your Budokan. Seriously, what are the chances of that?

Yes - it really says that in there.

And "Chance" had nothing to do with it.

In all seriousness it is a great collection. Not just because they're Gibson's, but because each of those guitars has a special history or filled a dream of owning when everything fell into place just right. That 79' already has more mileage on it then most people will play in a lifetime. They're all beautiful but the 79' is something special.

I had a nice ‘81 Standard with a maple neck. Put a SDHB at the bridge. [emoji3]

These aren’t mine, but it’s a fun photo (belong to a friend of mine. He has more! Lol)
