Who can tell me about this Kramer?

I have never owned a Kramer and really don't know alot about thier history. I did pick up a Kramer "Strat" today and was wondering if someone could give me some info on it. It is a "pointy" headstock model (figured that much out by checking some other sites) with gold logo that says "Kramer" and smaller letters that say "American" The truss rod cover says "Pacer" but on the Kramer sites i found on the net, all I could find were newer Pacers that were a little different looking. The neckplate has the Kramer logo and Neptune NJ and is serial # E 65xx. The neck is maple with a rosewood board and a standard strat body in white finish with black gaurd. It is H-S-S with standard strat controls with the addition of a toggle switch. The trem is I am guessing an "original" Floyd Rose because thats all it says on the trem, just the floyd rose logo.

Could some one tell me maybe when it was made and what they are approximately worth in very close to mint condition.

Kramer Pacer Deluxe....

87 or something like that....mine is from 88 and has a routout for the Floyd....
Suggest you keep it as they are very very very good guitars!
And if it is the one on the picture....very nice indeed!
Made by ESP and assembled in US.

Thats the guitar, looks identical including the non recessed Floyd. And yes it does play really sweet, only down side is it did not have the bar for the Floyd with it, gonna have to find one..

Can you tell me about what these guitars sell for in mint condition? (First older guitar I've came across that has no tarnish and rust on the Floyd, looks like it was made yesterday)

In Canadian bucks that guitar would be worth maybe $600-$750 in Mint, like new condition... but i have seen some nice "USA" Kramers in good shape from the 80's sell for $350-$450 depending on the store... Basicly old Kramers are in fashion.... Some stores sell them to get rid of them and others try and find a Kramer fan waiting to spring a fair buck for them... It's hit or miss.... Some Kramer fans are willing to shell out for them but most stores still sell them low.

American and Canadian money are really close now for exchange rate

i've been halfway keeping my eye open on pricing for building a superstrat guitar, and just for a floyd is over what you paid for that thing. maybe i need to just keep my eyes open for one of these locally.

wow, just read on that site ErikH posted and says that the neck sizing is very inconsistant....sounds like it may be tough to track down one with a thic neck and big frets.

I have what seems to be an '86 Kramer Focus 3000 -- really needs a good polishing, setup, new set of strings. I'd like to change out the pickups on this guitar. Any suggestions? (As a reference, I really dig Rid's tone.)
