Craziest? How about taking a rare early production G&L guitar from the 80s, one of their flagship guitars in the early days with a one piece mahogany body and maple neck and completely destroying it? Changing the S-S-S MFD routing to typical strat pickups routing and then modding it even further for a humbucker in the bridge. Oh yeah, and modding the pickguard myself to accompany the humbucker
So, in essence, I completely trashed a collectable guitar.

The master in weird guitars is Ron Thal imho:
I ve seen more than the displayed ones, including one who had a pinned moth in the guitar body toghether with his granddad's old pocketwatch.
The bumblefoot guitar (from Vigier) has wings as well (he can open and close them)
Not only a virtuoso guitar player, but the King of weird guitars as well!

wish i had a pic. but i had a peavey tracer, one of the cheapy yellow ones, with standard bridge, single hum, and a maple fretboard. i installed 300 or so black oxide button head allen bolts in the top of it. i also modded the pickup, by making it look like a duncan invader. that was a cool guitar. i may have to do another one like it. sadly, only have a terrible pic of it, but cant find it.

It's not that crazy but for a strat i guess some would think it's a bit wild...i dunno...but it is my favorite looking guitar of all mine since i decked it out hot rod style and i'm a motorhead at heart (still not done with it though)!!
while the rest of my schecter is classic black the inlays are wild...

yup fretfire is right its the XXX a limited edition schecter did a while back. Out of my 12 guitars i own that XXX very quickly became one of my two fav. and actually my main guitar...it even beat out my les paul, it's a great great guitar for the money IMO!!

i have a BC Rich Warlock whose paintjob looks like a bruise...and one nite i got really messed-up and wrote a long-winded rant on the pickguard of my Strat with a sharpie...it's kind of crazy.
