Be it Warmoth or similar that you put together yourself from parts, or purchase from an actual custom shop like from the Fender custom shop or where ever it was.
I'll also include those of you who own a Carvin, even it it's not 'true custom', it's still someone which you got a lot of control over the specifications.
Feel free to discuss things and post pictures of your loved custom guitar/s.
I'm interested in the numbers, so fire away gentlemen.

Just to clarify, custom does not include customized guitars you bought off the shelf, it's gotta be a real custom.

Man ,there is another thread about it ,it's 2 days old or so LOL. That's why nobody answers LOL!

Re: Who here owns a custom made guitar?

My acoustic is as custom as it comes. I have a ton of cool ideas in this one that I got to think up and have Allen Williams at Baruke Guitars create. The results were awesome!

My Wave was a custom order from BC Rich

Re: Who here owns a custom made guitar?

an esquire with no finish, reverse headstock and bridge pup, flipped control plate and belly carve
a chambered alder with maple top oversized tele with humbuckers and lp style electronics
a relic strat with reverse headstock
i made those three

i have a custom axe being built that should be ready soon that i am really excited about. 22 fret maple/rw neck, chambered ash body with a cool looking sycamore top, jaguar pup in the neck, tapped tele for strat in the bridge and a humbucker jammed up against the neck single coil so it sits about where a neck humbucker would on a 24 fret guitar. im hoping that itll end up being my #1 gigging guitar once its done.

i should be able to get pretty neck single coil tones, bright spanky or warmer punchy bridge single coil tones and fat neck humbucker tones

Re: Who here owns a custom made guitar?

I've got a couple of Warmoth bodies and necks that were made into custom Strats for me by the late, great Stewart Male in 1989. This one is a one piece swamp ash body. The pickups and electronics are replicated from my '68 Strat, so these guitars could be used as backups. The other one is in pieces, I've used a lot of its parts for spares. The builder passed away a couple of years ago, so these have a special place for me. I've also got a matching P Bass with a SD P/J pickup combination.

Re: Who here owns a custom made guitar?

I have a Carvin, and a second one on order right now actually. I love the one I have now... fantastic guitar...

Re: Who here owns a custom made guitar?

I own a Custom made Tele Thinline. Mahogany body with a flame maple cap.... 25.5" scale, Ebony fingerboard tunomatic style bridge & a pair of Duncans..... A JazzN & 59B, the pickups are coil tapped.

Re: Who here owns a custom made guitar?

Here's a tele I put together.
It has a relic'd body and neck.
Now, it has an asymmetric scallop done by hand.
Fender texas hot lipstick in neck
SD broadcaster for tele bridge.
Rosewood knobs hahahah
oh and it has 4 way switching - position 3&4 are series for a pretty fat tone.

I have a couple of Carvin Bass's if those count. They were made exactly the way I wanted them.

Re: Who here owns a custom made guitar?

I have a Wayne T type that is a 1 off built for Dave Kilminster.

Re: Who here owns a custom made guitar?

based on the Caparison thread that was linked to on here I just ordered a custom built DeVries guitar - he calls it the "Earth Devourer".
Hand built and chiseled, custom wound Sinner pickups, $450 and he says it plays better than any guitar in the world - ever.
I can't wait to get it and play it through my Marshal MS-2!!

Re: Who here owns a custom made guitar?

Love those scalloped frets up there! There was a guitar built in the 80s that had similar stairstep scallops too.

My custom is the Brian Moore in the avatar...its got RMC piezos for the acoustic sound as well as to drive the synth.

sweeeeet - i like asked him if he could buld the "threatboard" with 36 frets that actually totaly cover the pickups for extra metal sustain.

yea - that's right - the thretbord goes OVER the pickups!!!! (it cuts off the acoustic effect you get when you play your guitar LIVE as supposed to in your bedrom like most players on this forum!!)

devries gu:rocket:
