i Really like peavey amps though ive not tried the guitars. i would not mind getting hold of a wolfgang. not much fussed on jack danials as a drink, id rather drink southern comfort :smoker:

ESP should do the same thing with jager in honor of hetfield (and i think ESP sponsors the jager music tour, but hetfields cooler haha).

As for Peavey guitars, I haven't played anything but my Wolfgang (and an old Vandenberg model), but the WG is very impressive for the $. And this is coming from a very reluctant about Peavey products person.

I just noticed something that strikes me as somewhat odd:

A quote from Peavey's site:

Jack Daniels acoustic and electric guitars, amplifiers and accessories are inspired by the common American heritage shared by Peavey and Jack Daniels.

And a quote form Musicians Friend:

This Peavey Jack Daniel's electric guitar unites two legendary American companies as partners.

Yet, these guitars sell for $479. I can't believe that they're American made for that price. Just seems odd that equipment thats meant to celebrate an American heritage would be built in Indonesia. :laugh2:

It is, but I believe you are getting "ripped" price-wise. Those are the exact same specs as the Classic 30, but from what I've seen the JD model is about 1/3 more money.

There can only be ONE Jack Daniels instrument and it was built the correct way!!

Well it Ain't true. My Buddy made one as a custom order for a guy who played in a EVH cover band. If I can I will post a Pic of it.

i am a peavey user and my second fav. drink is jack and coke (although i don't drink too often)...hmmm those straps are pretty cool and you can never have too many straps...i think i may pick up the 2nd and 3rd ones from the right...

Hey Mike, When you go to pick up your guitars on Sat. You will notice a bottle of Jack on the shelf. Cris and I really enjoy Jack, but we prefer the GREEN LABEL. It is hard to come by in our part of the country!! I do like the looks of that little Amp though!!

When I made my first post in this thread, I'm not sure I'd ever had JD. So, I tried some. I like it a lot, mixed with Coke, like you.

Still haven't seen the guitars or straps, but I like the Jack.

Let's just say, Peavey definitely knows its target audience...

I played in Florida for years-- rarely knew a guy with a T-60 who didn't show up to rehearsal with a bottle of JD. :alcoholic

Artie, Im pretty sure the amp is a rebadged classic 30. (Great amp!) However the Jack logos would make it unsavory for church use.

I agree that michael anthonys orig was THE BEST!!! I was a major Jack consumer in those days and so I loved that axe!!

Did they really lower the Alch content??? If so, why?

peavey amps a re cool,never tried the guitars(they are very rare here in germany and i have never even seen one) but JD sucks. It's not a good scotch and there a re so many companies producing better whiskey

....thats probably because its not scotch at all. its a blended whiskey.....which means its far far worse tasting that single malt scotches (from scotland, hence the name scotch). JD is mostly for getting drunk, not for savoring. i like the taste anyway though.


btw- how much do classic 30's usually cost? i played through one a while ago and it sounded awesome, but i didnt have time to check the tag. seems like something good to have around for mellower stuff
