I'm glad to see I'm not alone in that sentiment!

Just got back from spending the day in Boulder on the Pearl Street Mall with some friends from Montana. Reminded me of my first year of college (when I was attending CU - Boulder as a Viola/Voice double Performance major). Lots & lots of people there today--I bet a lot of them love Floyd too! It's that kind of town if you know what I mean! :naughty:

Floyd is easily one of my favorite bands and Gilmour is one of my favorite guitarists. They're shi* is just sooo good. Nothing like putting on some Floyd and just lying down on you're bed trying to soak it all in.

I've been checking out their earlier stuff recently. Before the last coupla months, I'd been limited to "Animals," "Wish You Were Here," "Darkside of the Moon," "The Wall," and "Piper at the Gates of Dawn." I picked up "Meddle" a few months back, then "Atom Heart Mother," then just recently "Obscured by Clouds." Next I think will be "Ummagumma," followed by "A Saucerful of Secrets," and then "More."

I'll have to check out some of Syd's solo stuff sometime too. I know he was only around a few years after parting with Floyd...I'd love to hear some of his stuff.

Who likes Pink Floyd?-who doesnt like Pink Floyd. There is always a track that anyone likes from there huge catalog. Mine is Young Lust.

obscurred by clouds and the final cut are two of the best. i know the final cut is the last floyd (with waters, meaning its not very early on in the career) album, but its great.

check out roger waters solo stuff. radio kaos is epic! one of the best concept albums out there.

Shine on you Crazy Diamond is one of my all time fav songs.It gives me allways the deep nice feeling ,and it never let me just "hear" it.I allways concentrate on that song !

If someone put a gun to my head and told me to name my all-time favorite song, I'd have to say "Echoes" (the Live in Pompeii version, specifically). I heard it for the first time my freshman year of college, and I'll never forget the experience. The best part: no drugs to interfere with that experience.

In the '70s, he was attending LSU. They were into the whole "hippy" thing. Well, PF toured for Animals, and used several large, inflatable pigs. One of his friends popped some acid before the show. For a long time they let him believe the pigs were part of his trip. "What pigs?"

I love the dogs barking. It totally takes me back to when I was a kid and would visit my grandparents on their farm. Their dogs would bark at night...and Dogs sounds just like that did.

Echoes! When they recorded that it must have been LOUD!
