Look at the neck heel of Hetfield's V - is that a bolt-on? There's an extra little bump behind the shoulders that looks like it might be a bolt-on neck pocket.

Hes said before that the white V was a copy. I'm not sure exactly what brand though.

It didn't even have a brand, haha. Pretty sure i read that somewhere..

That 'V" disappeared along with their classic sound.

Wow, I always assumed the V in that pic was a Gibson, just hard to see the logo because of the white headstock.

Looks like an ebony board, though. I wonder if it was a Charvel, as they were doing roundhorn and roundheaded Vs back then, and I don't recall ever seeing a Japanese copy of anything with an ebony board back then.

mine is Adrian Smith! he has a King V, but i settled for a Rhodes with the similar layout i was looking for in the King V.
