Look at the neck heel of Hetfield's V - is that a bolt-on? There's an extra little bump behind the shoulders that looks like it might be a bolt-on neck pocket.

To many to name have been cool to me. I was always wanting one in the back of my mind but was ok with out. Then I got a Faded V and found they have a voice of thier own and are a blast to play.. so I really want one again..

Funny. Everyone prolly knows I'm a total Schenker freak- yet I've only owned 3 (gibson) Vs in my lifetime, 2 in the last 5 years.

I love the way they sound and feel, but the control layout of the 67 V absolutely sucks. I'd love a 58 style, but the only one I ever bonded with was one of these and wayyyyyyy out of my price range. All the EPIs I've tried have been garbage.

For sure Michael Amott. Not the new Dean, but the ESP Ninja. Kalmah's Antti Kokko is pretty sick on his custom Amfisound. Love those guitars. But starting the whole thing? I pretty much just remember seeing a Rhoads in a Musician's Friend catalog and thinking it was the coolest looking thing in the world, much better than my Dad rock strat. And then Laiho came fluttering in a few years later covered in glitter and wearing assless pants and everyone got one.......... Not that some of their songs aren't good, it just pissed me off is all.
