Who wants to help me pick a set of pickups for my Fusion?

Yes, my Charvel Fusion Deluxe, with the somewhat highly coveted all maple neck!!! :D

It's time for me to pull the EMG's out of this thing and give it a major revival in tone. Those unaware of the Fusion look here for specs:

poplar body
maple neck/fretboard
original floyd rose
1 bridge HB, 1 neck SC slanted

What I'm looking to do is to get as close to my Ibanez Universe (SH-5 and SH-1) as possible in terms of tone. I really dig higher output bridge pickups that I can get to clean up well and sound sweet when I change the way I play. The Custom in my Universe does that for me rather well. I think I'd be happier with a stacked pickup in the neck position - I can't stand true strat tones. :p I would really like something warm sounding. Warm, yet articulate.

Suggest away!!

From the description I have realized something:
We need pics!

CC in the brdige...
Well, for the neck, I do like classic Strat ton at the neck and I'm not a big fan of stacked or railed pickups... although with an A2 humbucker the A2 Stack might work like a charm...
Or you can combine a CC with a Dimarzio Solo Pro... Dimarzio and SD, can you get more Fusion???

I was under the impression that the Charvel Fusion bodies were basswood and only the neck thru models had poplar wings.

Either way, I would go with a Distortion/Cool Rails combo in that guitar. But that's just what I would do.

I really recommend a Dimarzio Virtual Vintage Solo in the neck, I've got one in my strat and it's warm, powerful, yet retains its clarity very very well. A terrific pickup.

To go with it in the bridge I'd recommend a C5, just for something a bit tasty :D

Most were basswood, but it seems that some of the bolt ons were occasionally poplar.

I would go with a Custom /Cool Rails setup
