Whole Lotta Humbucker recordings/soundclips?

I'm almost convinced these pickups are what i want, but I'd like to hear a little more recordings/clips before i make the purchase, there's only a couple on youtube and most are low quality videos or with cranked up distortion that don't do the pickups justice.

I'd like to hear some cleans or cleanish tones that show off the dynamics of the pickups (quiet to loud by changing pick/finger attack etc)

Yeah, there aren't a ton of examples out there but I can attest, that they sound great in person; I got some a few months back and love them.

What are you wanting them to do? They are essentially higher output PAF-types. What kind of guitar do you have? What music? And what don't you like about your current pickups?

I play Classic Rock mostly but also some 90s rock (I installed mine in a Epiphone Les Paul Classic) I use a clean channel and a fuzz pedal.

To me they are very clear and clean sounding on a clean channel. With the fuzz the bridge sounds very articulate and the neck is nice and warm sounding if that helps.

i know this seems obvious and almost cheating, but i had a set in an orville les paul, and it NAILED the "Since I've Been Loving You" tone.

I think it would be perfect in the bridge. What is your ideal neck tone? The WLH isn't a 'warm' pickup in the neck, not at warm as something like the Alnico II Pro or Slash.

Well I'm coming off stock Epi pickups so I suppose anything is a big upgrade LOL.

But I like playing the neck when I keep the pickup volume up and drop the town down pretty low (with a fuzz effect)...to me gives out a Clapton/Cream kinda sound. Especially when you solo or hit individual notes.

Of course it also depends on your amp. I am using a solid state amp so would sound a little different on a tube amp.

i like the bridge pup, but i love the neck pup. its a5 so not as buttery smooth as the aph, but its a really beautiful sounding neck pup

The only recording of me playing my WLHs are practice recordings with my old post-hardcore band. I do not think the recordings are going to help anyone. This is my way of saying you can get as much grind out of the pickups as you would like.

You could post one anyway, given that disclaimer.

For the OP, if you do get either a single WLH or full set, record some clips for others who might wonder about this set as well.
