Since I didn't have one when this zombie thread was first started, I'll post now:

B12.jpg

(Important: I bought this used, and I have removed all the previous owner's stickers from the case.)

Kramer Baretta I, '88-'90 model. This one had seen a lot of usage before I got it. I've always loved the looks of these: Kramer sits straight in the pocket between more traditional guitars and what eventually became modern metal guitars, and this model in particular is a variation that is so different from everything else out there. When it comes to sound, it is probably the most resonant of my superstrats, and it is fairly loud but not particularly trebly when played acoustically; it needs to get a little extra "focus" from the rest of the rig. I might change the humbucker at some point, but I haven't gotten around to it, as I got it last year, and owing to my somewhat complicated residence status I have had very few opportunities to play it.

I find that it is always fun to play 1HB guitars. When fewer options are available, it forces one to use what one has more sensibly, and just as the other senses are strengthened when one is taken away, playing a single HB forces one to consider the nuances one gets from the volume knob, picking style etc., that is easier to let slide on a supposedly more flexible guitar.

There should be more 1H guitars out there, IMO. I need another basswood maple/rosewood neck-thru and I think I could buy another Scott Ian Anarchy. But two times the same fancy finish would be too much!

I’m a bridge pickup only player, so single pickup guitars are a no brainer for me.

Here's mine:
2011 Gibson Les Paul Jr Double Cut

Has the following mods:
-Pigtail intonatable aluminum wraparound bridge
-Dunlop self trimming locking tuners
-Custom cut nitrocellulose brown tort pickguard
-Tele knobs
Edit: also just remembered that I had the nut replaced and recut because Gibson doesn't know how to cut nut slots.
