A dipinto quickie. Bought a loaded body to use one of my paddle necks for.
The original pink metallic just wasn't gelling with me..

Bolted it up. Used 10-24 inserts with stainless Allen screws. Wired bridge pup with push/pull split and out of phase switch..

Do you mix your own metalflake paint?. I'm kicking around the idea about getting an aerosol of base coat and flake for a future project.

Nah, just Duplicolor lacquer base, Rustoleum glitter, lacquer clear.

I am sure I did with something, but I don’t remember for sure what. I refretted the neck a few years ago.

I like the stain pens for darkening fretboards.

I used rustoleum glitter on one project, and it cracked away after I applied some 2k clear. That was disappointing.

Because you applied a polyurethane over a lacquer.
