Why are Antiquity Surf Strat pickup screws so short?

Re: Why are Antiquity Surf Strat pickup screws so short?

Ant II screws have countersunk heads so that they can sit correctly in the countersunk screw holes of vintage-accurate Fender pickguards.

Historical accuracy?

Yep. Seymour doesn't budge from era correct accuracy with Antiquities and 59's. I can't fault him for that.

However, I wish he'd move from slotted head humbucker bolts to philips head. He's sticking to his guns on that too.

Just use your stock bolts. I usually leave the Duncan hardware in the boxes and use the stock hardware whenever possible. That way it doesn't get lost from the guitar, and I always know where my Duncan bolts/springs are.
