Out of the aftermarket ones, I have only tried the Governor and Legend V12. To me, they're OK at best. A lot of people really like them. In the room, they're alright, but once you throw an SM57 in front, they really fall apart, IMO. I find them both fizzy with a weird scratchy attack and hollow-sounding mids, and it seems to be the same in every clip I've heard of them. Both recorded and in the room, I much prefer all of the Celestion V30 variants (Chinese, Mesa, Marshall, etc.), TBH.
I would like to try the CV-75, though. It sounds nice in the clips I've heard.
I personally think WGS do a better job at capturing the Celestion vibe with their Celestion-inspired models. Or at least their V30-inspired models.
