Re: Why DONT you like the Dimebucker?
I had one in my V and really didn't like it, so I got an Invader and was much happier. I gave it to a friend and he put it in his Ibanez Iceman and I tried it out, and liked it a little better in that guitar, but not enough to want it back. Very needle-like highs and whatever mids there are are not a pleasant tone for my ear, the output is great, but for a scooped p/u it is very un-warm in tone to me. I also had a lot of low-end feedback with it, and when I re-eq'd to get rid of it I was unhappy with my tone. I have an xl500 I put in an old Hondo Destroyer, and that p/u is much more nasally than the Dimebucker.
