Wich one between Detonator and FullShred?

Hey!

I have a Jackson Warrior WRXT with stock Detonator Pick-ups on them and I have crapy guitar with a FullShred on it... So, what pick-ups would be better to play Fast Technical Metal music; the Detonator or the FullShred?

You'll probably want the Full Shred because it's pretty articulate, if you're playing real technical/progressive stuff and really want everything that you're playing to be clean and clear.

Ok that is what I though! But what about the distortion?! Will I loose some or gain more ? lol I play Metal like Quo-Vadis if by any chance you know this band...

No, I don't know them, but the Duncan Distortion would probably be a good choice, too. It's clean and clear and has a fuller sound. The Full Shred has a pretty focused high end, and not as much bass/mids.

The detonator is pretty opposite the full shred. That being said, I think the Full Shred sounds freaking amazing for "quick" music in LPs.

Will my sound be better and more aggressive?? I don't play much power chords ...

For the Bass/Mid things, I got a Digitech DeathMetal Distortion pedal so I can get lots of them !

So, is switching picks-up a good thing for me?

Ok, I took the FullShred out of the crappy guitar (it's a Crate Electra...) Juste wanted to know if anyone jas something to say before I got to the music shop and ask them to put it inside of my Jackson?!?
