Will new Volume/tone pots affect my sound?

hey guys,
Will changing the current Volume and tone pots in my guitar affect the sound and/or tone in any way?? Ofcourse I'd get the same value of the pots that are already in there.

I am thinking of doing that when getting a new pickup so I can install everything at one time.

If your new pots measure the same as your old pots I doubt the sound of your guitar will change...at least not enough to worry about. Lew
