Will Quarter Pounders Work?

I have a 2015 MIA Fender Jazz Deluxe V. Wanted to take those noisy N3 pickups out and try out some quarter pounders. Will this work with my active electronics on the deluxe? Has anyone done this before, if so how'd they sound?

Ugh...noisy N3 pickups? You may have something wrong if that's the case.

Since it's an active/passive bass I think the QP's will be fine. Haven't tried them with active circuit though as when I switched them in before I ripped out any active components.

I know I'm showing my ignorance here but if I went with the quarter pound pups, is it recommended to take the preamp out and if so would I be able to still use the eq on the bass or just mid only? Taking out the active side doesn't bother me but I do like the capability of the on board eq.

The active part is the EQ. If you take it all out the best you can have is a 'tone' control.
