Will these pots work for 2010 Gibson LP Studio?

Hello. I actually opened this account to ask for tips about pickup choice, but until it was activated I'd already decided on SH-16 and DiMarzio DP190 to replace my LP's 498T/490R set.

But I also want to change the pots, mainly enable coil splitting. Will these two CTS types work on an LP? And are they "compatible" with each other? I suppose I'll put the push/pull on the tones.

Thanks.

Yes, it can be installed as you wish by a competent tech. However, I have a suggestion for you. I had a '62 SG Junior with a single P-90 in the bridge, and needed at least 2 sounds for rhythm and lead. I had a switch added that shunted the output of the pickup direct to the jack - no volume or tone in the circuit. Then I could preset my volume and tone for rhythm sounds, and had the full tilt boogie for lead tones. Worked perfect, and again - easily achievable with one switch by a competent tech. Good luck.

My father is involved with electronics so he can probably do it. But regarding that mod you mentioned, was it suggested instead of coil splitting? And wouldn't it make the sound too shrill, or is the difference not THAT noticeable?
