Also can anyone edit it so that instead of 1 volume, 1 tone it is 2 volumes NO tone?

Check and see if they're the quick connect. The EMG's I had in my Michael Kelly Patriot Premium did and the Blackouts had the same plug, it was that easy for me.

If I remember right, the Blackouts have a quick connect setup so that they can be an easy change for EMG's. The set up is the same. I've thought about getting a set of Blackouts for a guitar and use a Kwik Connect set to plug 'em in, because I'm lazy and soldering is a pain in the ass. I think the Blackouts also come with a plug that you can use to solder them into the guitar if you so choose. I'm waiting for the day when all pickups become solderless.

Soldering is no issue as my dad is an electrition for cars and a guitar will be a piece of cake to him. What i need to make sure is that the emg and blackout wiring is the same. Because i will have him wire the tone as another volume like the duncan diagram says then ill have him wire the duncans without touching anything else. Wire them with emg wiring setup already present. Cunfusing shiz i know

No, I understand you now. That might be something that you have to call SD about. Comparing an EMG diagram and an SD diagram, I want to say yes, but I would still call SD just to be sure. The only difference is that the EMG doesn't use a ground from the bridge, and if you use it on a Les Paul style guitar, there's no ground from the bridge either, so I don't know if that really changes anything.

Exact same wiring convention.

It is perfectly possible to run 9v pickups of either brand on a wiring loom of the other brand. Thanks to Quik Connect™ block connectors, only the pickups themselves need to be replaced.

Dual mode EMG humbuckers (-89, -89R and -81TW) are a different story.

Converting from MV, MT to dual Vols, no Tone requires some rebuilding. In the instance of EMG Solderless controls, a physically different PCB/pot assembly is used for Volume and Tone functions.

I do not have the solderless setup. The emgs have quick connect but not solderless on other ends. I want to remove the cap off the tone and rewire to volume. Then put duncans in. By the look of it sounds its possible.!

With conventional non-PCB pots, removing the cap from the Tone control and reconfiguring the input/output connections changes its function.

You still need to alter the signal flow.

Pickups > selector > pots > jack

has to become

pickups > pots > selector > jack

Typically, EMG active circuitry wiring instructions show no bridge ground connection. Where active pickups are being retrofitted, EMG advocates that any existing bridge ground be disconnected at the control cavity end.

Seymour Duncan and Basslines active pickup circuitry instructions do show a bridge ground wire. Usually, this will be illustrated as being soldered to a control pot chassis.

Opinions vary.

I meant something more along the lines of an EMG quick connect system. Gibson had a system similar to it for a while (they still sell the pickups, but don't sell the full setup anymore), and I wouldn't be surprised if they come out with something similar in all their guitars again. Look at their robot tuners. They had them out in 2003 and they failed, but now their new Min-ETune system is going fairly well.

A bridge ground for active pickups isn't necessary, but it doesn't hurt either.
