wiring a kill switch (on/off/on)

in a very no electronics diagram hopefully can someone tell me the best way to wire a kill switch after the tone and all that lot but before the jack?

The one thing I'd add is, on a on-off-on switch, wire the outside two terminals to ground, and the inside terminal to the "hot" of the output jack. Then remember . . . the switch needs to be in the middle to be "on".

that's just silly, it's usually designed so if you hit it by accident you don't cut the sound off fully. that's why it's usually a on/off/on state. therefore pointless wired off/on/off.

seems like if you know what you want your just taking up space on the main page.
