Hi,

Im just wondering if anyone could help with a wiring diagram for a H/S/H 1 vol 1 tone Push pull 5 way rotary for split coiling?
I've had a browse through some of the threads but not entirely sure if they are what im looking for.

Any help will be really appreciated.

Re: Wiring diagram for 5 way rotary switch?

What exactly do you want to accomplish with the rotary switch?

Are you using this in addition to the blade selector switch?

If you just want it to split the humbuckers, a DPDT toggle is much better/easier to use.

I wanted to use the rotary switch instead of a blade switch if thats possible?

Would the push/pull pot not be used for the coil splitting?

OK, but what exactly do you want to accomplish? Do you want to split each humbucker separately or both together? What choices of pup switching/combinations do you want to get? Do you currently have a 5 way blade switch and do you want to keep all of its functions but add coil splitting? Do you want to add bridge plus neck?

I would love to help you with a wiring diagram, but I need to know exactly what you want out of each position of the switch.

Great diagrams. What program do you use to do that?

You're not going to be able to get all of that with just a 5 way rotary and push/pull. You'll need at least a 6 position rotary with 2 push/pulls. The 6th position can get you bridge+neck, and the two p/p will switch from humbucker to either coil. This can get very confusing both in wiring and in its use while you're playing because the p/p will have a different effect depending upon what position the rotary is in.

A much simpler solution would be to use the 6 way and two Triple Shot mounting rings for the humbuckers. Much simpler to wire and to use and it will even give you more options. The Triple Shots will control which coils are active (series, parallel, screw coil, or slug coil) on each hummer. The rotary will select from bridge pup, bridge+middle, middle, middle+neck, neck, and neck+bridge. This would be my recommendation.
