Wiring schematics continuations.

Ok went to the diagrams that are on this forum and so far this is as close as ive been yet. On this site it gives you the hss with one volume and one tone and a dive way blade with the vilume being push pull to split the humbucker. On this guitar its the same except for the volume is not push pull to split the humbuker it has a toggle switch for that does that make any difference as far as wiring it up or am i supposed to take a different route. Ill tell you what. Right now im kicking myself in the but cause just a little over three weeks ago i let one like this go. I picked this one up for 20 bucks man and if i had the other one i could just look at that one and my issues would be resolved. Mr medeator from the board i really could use some help. Please. Im also gonna put a Floyd rose on this one which is something i didnt do to the one i let go. But i have to get past this hump first. Please somebody anybody. On another note i was comparing the neck on this guitar to a charvel neck that my buddy had and they are damb near identical. I could not believe how closely they resemble each other. If anyone had any coments or information on this i would greatly appreciate it. My friend had mentioned to me something about a law suit year but could not elaborate that much on it. Would like to know is all. But this electrical thing i have to get working first and foremost so please all help and suggestions and will be greatly greatly appreciated.

Re: Wiring schematics continuations.

Which pickup is this? To simply split it, it doesn't matter if you use a switch like you have or a push pull...the separate switch just removes it physically from the pot. Your post is a little hard to follow, and right now we will need to know if that humbucker you bought can actually be split (2 conductor ones can't).

Re: Wiring schematics continuations.

Thank you for your response. Let me start from beginning. I picked up this guitar. Aria pro II fullerton series model fl 20. The guy i picked it up from was doing some project and i guess just quit on it. The puck gaurd was off already and i found wires that should be connected but are broke off at the soldering joint. It is an hss with one colume pot one tone pot 5 way blade and a toggle switch to split the humbucker. At this moment i have not upgraded anything so all pups are original. Which means the humbucker for now is splittable. The first wires i found were of the neck pup. Black and white. The white wire runs to the blade but do not know where the black one connects. The middle pup completely disconnected and those wires are red and black. Again i know the red wire runs to the blade but do not know where the black one goes. The humbucker has one wire that turns into 3. A white one that runs to the blade. A red one that runs to the toggle switch and a black one that runs to the backside of the volume pot that if im not mistaken is a ground. And last but not least the input jack has two wires a black and red the black one also runs to the back of the volume pot and is in a solder joint right next to the solder joint where the black wire from the humbucker runs to but are not soldered together. Also rhe black wire from the humbucker is in that solder joint by itself and the one running from the input jack to the solder joint is rhere wirh other black wires. If your looking at the volume pot from the bortom the solder joint to the right is the humbucker wire by itself and the solder joint to the left is the other solder joint with other black wires. The red wire coming from the input jack is also disconnected. Also i noticed on the volume pot that it has three little ears . i hope this description helps.

Re: Wiring schematics continuations.

The diagram you will need is right here..keep in mind the switch you have is not connected to the volume pot, so just separate that in your head. You will have to change some wire colors, too:

On the diagram, black is hot.
Red & white is split (to the switch)
Green & bare are ground.

Translate those colors to what you have:
It looks like black is ground for your guitar.
White is hot.
Red is split (going to the switch).

Let us know if this makes sense.
