Wiring speaker cabs

Hey guys,

I'm wiring up a speaker cab to eliminate the Marshall switching jacks. I'm using a single quarter inch jack, so no daisy chaining, etc. What gauge of wire should I be using to connect the speakers to each other and the quarter inch jack? Will the gauge have an impact on the tone?

Thanks

Re: Wiring speaker cabs

For the short lengths in a cabinet, no effect on tone. Just like I told B-Bent this morning. 18 gauge is fine, use 16 if it'll make you feel better.

Are you running the Bandmaster through a Marshall 4x12? I'll bet that setup would sound great. Crank it and point it up I-45 when you're done. I'll prolly be able to hear it.

Cool man, thanks. I'll head over to my local Home Depot and get it going then. :smokin:
