Wiring - Strat trick for humbuckers ?

Fellow forumers, I have this question.

In january 2011 Peter posted this blog about adding the bridge pickup to whatever selection on the 5-way of a Strat:

I'm wondering.
If I do the same with the hot wire of a bridge humbucker, would this always give me my full bridge humbucker signal when I select anything else ?
Or would the signal of the white and red wire bleed off through the 5-way, effectively switching the bridge hum on as a split coil ?

I'm thinking of doing this to my Ibanez S570, so it's a HSH situation where I want both humbuckers active. I want both my Black Winters screaming together... :D

Thanks in advance :)

Yes.

I'm not sure what you mean here. Are the red/white wires connected to the 5-way in your current configuration?

Yes. It's the standard Ibanez 5-way HSH wiring diagram, so red and white are soldered to that Yamaha switch...
