Wiring tone knob for split

Dropping a 59/custom into a guitar that has a push pull on the tone for splitting. I couldn't find an applicable diagram, a little help would be appreciated.

Surprising.
How many pickups/what kind, where is the one to be split, what are the rest of the controls.

Red and white to middle push pull lug and lower push pull lug to ground. Or for a partial split, run a 4k7 resistor to ground. Gives a fuller split sound and less drop in volume.

That's what I was thinking but I'm not getting any change when I pull up.

You can test at the cable with your meter to make sure the dcr isn't dropping. If it's not, you can test the lugs with your meter to see if it's broke. Or it could be a bad solder joint.

Re: Wiring tone knob for split

There was a second wire off the push/pull. One to the bottom lug and another to the ground on the bottom of the push/pull. Once I sent them both to ground, it worked just fine.

The down side is that I'm going to gave to swap magnets, the A5 is just too sharp and scooped for me.

Re: Wiring tone knob for split

A4 is closest to A5 in that all frequencies get about equal push and the strength is somewhat similar. UOA5 is another close option that has more mids but the spongey lows of A2, but the strength is lower.

This: (Use one side, or the other. Not both. They're both electrically identical.)
