witch pickup

Hi:I have a epi.les paul.witch neck pickup would i need?I have a 59'b in there now its a little bright but sounds very good.I dont want a muddy sound.I would like to get a clean acoustic sound out of it.I was thinking of seth,pearly gates or 59' please help.

they all seem like good choices, that's what many people say when your real brief in what you want. To help you out, if you find the 59b a little bright, and your scared of having a bass-muddy pickup, then you should try out an alnico 2 equipped pickup, I don't have much experience with it, but the jazz is supposed to be an exellent clear neck pup. Maybe this can help you out, although I'm sure you already had a look

even for almost acoustic tone?, it's a real ripper in the bridge of a LP, but is it as sweet in the neck?

Yep. Unblanced coil humbuckers sound very cool in the neck. It has nice airy highs, rich mids, and good lows that aren't boomy (like I found the 59 to be in the neck). Split it and "acoustic" is a very good description of it. :burnout:
