Re: Without Further Ado: SDUGF's Top 100 Albums

I know it's all about opinions, and, apparently, everyone on here has a crappy opinion, but....

Dokken are on there? And not only that, they're ahead of "Rust In Peace" and Jethro Tull aren't even on there?
But Dokken are?

What the feck?

Oh BTW - "LOL" at Aceman's list. I thought you were into some cool heavy rock.

Not to mention the fact that there was only one Who album, Quadrophenia, and it was tied with a John Mayer album for #100. WTF?!?!

Re: Without Further Ado: SDUGF's Top 100 Albums

Re: Without Further Ado: SDUGF's Top 100 Albums

I'm amazed U2's "Joshua Tree" made it that far. I thought most guitar players dislike U2? And if any U2 was going to show up, I would have assumed it would be something like "Boy" or "War".

Does this mean that another member or members actually listed my #1 and #2in their top ten. I thought that would be nearly impossible. I must know who!

Re: Without Further Ado: SDUGF's Top 100 Albums

Who voted for Morbid Angel and Marty Friedman?

And who ELSE voted for Tull's "Minstrel In The Gallery"?!

Re: Without Further Ado: SDUGF's Top 100 Albums

Ha, no mention of any of my choices! I knew I didn't belong! :)

Re: Without Further Ado: SDUGF's Top 100 Albums

I have (had?) an awesome concert shirt that said

ROKKEN with DOKKEN during the Lock & Key era. Have to agree, it's a good platter!

Diocletian, I am sensing by your posting you are upset.

Just call me sherlock. ;)

There isn't much on Keith's list I wouldn't listen to.

I also have to 2nd Keith's call for non-voting complainers, even though I have NO CLUE who they are. :) :) :)

PS. I totally forgot to add a Judas Priest album. I would have had a lot more from that list if it was extended to a top 20.

The 60-80's were strong because those decades were all about the complete album. Something that is almost completely gone in the modern era.

No, those are only albums that were listed #10 on one person's list.

Re: Without Further Ado: SDUGF's Top 100 Albums

my top one didn't even make the list! you heretics! hahaha

1) Steely Dan "Aja"
2) Eric Clapton "live in hyde park"
3) Eric Clapton 24 nights
4) Stevie Ray Vaughan "Texas Flood"
5) SRV live at el mocambo
6) The Who "Tommy"
7) The Who "Who's Next"
8) Dream Theater "live scenes from new york"

these were definitely the most influential to me, i remember watching the Eric Clapton and SRV DVD's and playing along to them, (which was a lot of times my practice!), i guess my dad was a patient father :)

Re: Without Further Ado: SDUGF's Top 100 Albums

well that was interesting. two of mine made it, and two that I gave honorable mention to made it. guess metal church's "the dark" isn't too popular 'round these parts, hehe.
