Re: Would you consider this great tone?

that video was actually what sold me on the pedal. i've had that pedal for a pretty long time now and i'm quite happy with it. then again, the guy is like a berkley music grad or something, so he can probably make a lot of pedals sound good.

it doesn't hurt that he's playing through a nice deville or something either. overall though, i'm quite sure you can get great tone with the J&H

Re: Would you consider this great tone?

He's a really good player so he makes that setup shine. I think he gets great tone FWIW. Pretty cool hearing that from a pretty basic setup (although his Anderson is probably pretty pricey).

Re: Would you consider this great tone?

yeah I have one, and I really like it...even just for boosting an amp it sounds great. bought it last year for like 140$ :)

It seems they are coming out with a new model soon.

Re: Would you consider this great tone?

also, to be honest with you...it seems to work best with an amp that has amazing cleans...if your amp doesn't have like uber cleans, it isnt going to sound that good I guess.

My amp has pretty good cleans, so yeah it works good,

Re: Would you consider this great tone?

It's a great player using some kind of overdrive pedal. Can't really hear the tonal details in that video...

Re: Would you consider this great tone?

Great playing, but I agree with Rid, its a bad recording. So true, it is hard to tell.

Re: Would you consider this great tone?

^(two posts above) that's the idea. its an ad for a visual sound od/dist pedal. Jekyll and Hyde right? those things seem nice
