Would you guys buy this? Is there a market? Business idea I need suggestions for

So I have this idea. I have fairly good success with buying and reselling instruments. I have always made a profit doing it. I'm considering opening an Ebay store and a website to sell hand-built custom made instruments. One of my teachers where I attend college builds some fantastic basses for reasonable prices, but not too many people are familiar with his name or product and he sells locally. There is another person I know who does the same but builds great Guitars and Basses. All these items would be around the $600-$1,500 range or so, for high quality hand made instruments with quality electronics. I can get some financial backing to have some of these instruments made and resell them. What do you think? would any of you guys be interested in browsing these types of instruments? Consider buying? I'm just not sure how big of a market there is for nice hand built instruments. If it's successful I'd start stocking hand built amplifiers as well.

that's part of the deal. I would publicize and promote their products in exchange for the priviledge of selling their instruments (and maybe a cost decrease for me )

Theoretically good, but unless the instruments are not just High quality but also "something special", you may have trouble carving yourself a niche large enough to live in

You´ll have to excuse me for not helping you too much here, I´m "the competition", even though on the other side of the world.

But Best of luck to you, maybe we can work something out with "US Distributor" or something in the long run

thanks zerb, understand completely. They are quite unique instruments themselves, thus the carving of the niche, I'm gonna give it a shot. I'll let you guys know when I have something up and running and a small inventory.
