Looking for a cheaper 8 string model as a test bed for pickups I have yet to try. I already have 3 other 8 strings and they are all active wired and I do not want to screw with that as they are cool as is. I guess for now I'd be happy with an Agile 828 Intrepid. Looking to stay under $500 and would prefer the neck trough Pro model. One just sold on Ebay I missed out on for $450 and that was the model I'd prefer with the natural wood and darker stripes.
I'd consider a Schecter Omen 8 but they are $400 new so for used I wouldn't consider anything over $300, and even that would be the absolute upper limit for one of the Omen 8s. It would have to be a 2012 model as I do not like the cheapo chrome hardware of the 2011 and earlier models. The newer black nickel finish is preferred. I might in a last case scenario consider a 2011 Satin Walnut model as it has black hardware at least.
