WTB Gold Explorer Jack Plate

Re: WTB Gold Explorer Jack Plate

Thank you. You both found the same things. Not in stock and a used & abused one. Weird it's that tough to find.

Re: WTB Gold Explorer Jack Plate

thank you but you listed the same exact one I said no to above. It's all used and messed up. I want a new one.

Re: WTB Gold Explorer Jack Plate

Not too surprising they'd be a bit hard to find - I think only a tiny percentage of Explorers were made with gold hardware.

Re: WTB Gold Explorer Jack Plate

a funny update. Gibson customer service wrote back. They don't have it but directed me to the repair shop at Gibson. They have it but it costs $20 and another $15 for S&H.

Regular chrome one---$8.

Thanks for the help Gibbo.

I'd just convert to a square style one. They look better anyhow IMO (the original Explorers had them too, though they were plastic). Those should be available in gold all over the place. Finding one that is flat, as opposed to curved for a Les Paul, might be hard, though.

Re: WTB Gold Explorer Jack Plate

ah man. thanks.

too bad I already drastically overpaid for it via the gibson custom shop
