WTB: Something Cheap

Frito's Better Half
Looking to get back into playing electric after several long years, but not wanting to shell out a whole lot of money up front. I'll eventually get my stable back up to decent quality, but for now, something lower end will do. So, anyone out there have something cheap they'd like to get rid of for a lovely low price? Squier Affinity? Epiphone bolt ons? SX? Let me know whatcha got.

Keep you eyes on craigslist. You should be able to find a Squier Standard or a set neck Epi SG for <$200....

I've probably got some stuff, but you'll probably have found something else by the time I locate them. Anythnig you're particularly leaning towards?

I've probably got an Epi Jr Special (1 bridge HB, brown sunburst), an SX Jr style (can't remember what they called it - red mahogany, 2 P90 style), maybe a Squier strat (I have 3 or 4, so I'd have to see what I wanted to let go of).

The thing about cheapies over the net is that by the time you pay shipping, it's either not a cheapie for the buyer, or it's not worth the hassle for the seller.

Re: WTB: Something Cheap

I understand, but anything to get back in to playing would be great.

Get something off Craigslist, anything on here you'll have to pay shipping for and it won't be worth the money.

The Squier Classic Vibe Series is great bang for the buck. Equal to a MIM Fender.

I got a cheapie parts strat I'd let go for $100+shipping. It aint pretty, but it works.

If you're handy, you got a diamond in the rough. HSH routed, 6 point bridge can be provided as well as tuners, nice maple neck with Dunlop jumbos and threaded inserts, PRS SE 245 pickups. Just a project that I've been slacking off on.

Re: WTB: Something Cheap

So I would still need to acquire electronics, bridge, tuners, and the like?

Well, that's definitely a deal I'm interested in. I'll hit you up as soon as thanksgiving is over.
