WTB Tube Head - light weight

I have a friend who is looking for a tube amplifier head that is light weight (he has a back problem).

Less than 20 pounds (9.0 kg.) would be preferred.

He has looked at the 'new' Epiphone 5 watt head but was hoping for a few more watts (15 would be fine) and more features if possible (reverb is not essential).

Anybody with this type of animal that wants to sell ?

Thanks

Dave

Edit: If nobody has an amp like this to sell, suggestions of what might fit the bill would be appreciated. Thanks.

Come on guys.

One of you must have chronic (or occasional acute) low back pain.

Any suggestions would be a start. I know virtually nothing about the choices of amp heads out there.

Last bump

Thanks for the suggestions so far.

My friend is also hoping to get the amp head used (hence my WTB) to keep the cost down.

You watch...I 'll bet that one or more amp head(s) will be posted on "The Trading Post" after this thread sinks into oblivion....my luck.

Just have to keep checking.

Thanks again

Dave

As someone said earlier, check out a used THD Uni-Valve. Great little amp :)

Orange tiny terror (15w switchable to 7)

Thanks Baltar:

The price in the USA for these seems to be about $550.00 USD
My friend looked into the price in Canada and the list is about $1100.00 Candian (or about $979.00 USD)...this seems crazy:smack:

The amp weighs about 5.7 Kg (12.5 pounds) which is perfect.
He likes everything about the amp but the price.

Re: WTB Tube Head - light weight

that is expensive *shocked*

in europe we are used to that everything american made is at least
25% more expensive, than in us. but twice the price is horrible.

in austria the tiny terror is about 525 EUR, which is about 690 USD

i'd like to have one too - time will come :)
