WTF happend to this Black Russian BMP?

So my friend asked me to take a look at his Black Russian big muff. It's got some loose and crackly pots, and I figured a quick spray of contact cleaner would do it. Well, for some reason, it now makes no sound - or rather, it's still audible, but more quiet than the fart of a church mouse. There are two wires with that are soldered to nothing... this one coming from the 3PDT switch (the one sticking up in the picture):

and this one that's mysteriously soldered to the back of the board on one of the input jack's lugs:

If anyone can offer some help, I'll be glad to take more pictures.

Re: WTF happend to this Black Russian BMP?

Did whoever did the true bypass mod do it right? I'll try and show how the switch is diagrammed:

[1] [2] [3]

[4] [5] [6]

[7] [8] [9]

1: to LED
2: wire must have been disconnected from something
3: empty
4: two wires, both going to the bottom left of the PCB
5: again going to the bottom left of the PCB, right between the two wires from the 4th lug
6: linked to 8
7: wired to the middle terminal of the sustain pot
8: linked to 6
9: empty

seems very different from the switch diagram in this guide on how to TB mod this pedal

Re: WTF happend to this Black Russian BMP?

I don't know enough about this stuff to fix it if there's more wrong with it - and since it's not mine, I have to assume that's the case. I feel bad just handing it back to my friend though. When he told me that he wanted me to look at it a few weeks ago, I opened it and looked at it (that's literally it) and he said the problem started after that. I figure it's not my fault per se - if anybody had opened it, it would have happened, but I still feel bad.
