WTF is up with used guitar prices????

Apparently the first one, they have the IRS after them, as it states IRS FORCED SALE. And they want all that money for something without the covers and the wires looking like a bird's nest, nope. Ill give them $100 and they pay shipping.

Even on FB I’m noticing crazy prices.
The two that I posted were literally right in the first handful of listings.

Of course I remember the BC Rich Bich from my teen years but NEVER it THAT desirable.

I had a friend that had one and sure, we all thought it was a cool guitar and all but.

I get that these prices are atypical but I’m starting to think I should put up some gear for sale. Lol
I have. BC Rich Gunslinger with a non-original neck that I paid $300 for. Maybe I can sell it for $1000? Lol

But what's wrong with $900+ Squires & $1400 Epi's ???

I think the prices of gear has increased because of inflation, but not like some other things. These examples are not typical, and I doubt they will sell for those prices.

Well, everything will sell for what someone is willing to pay for it.

Look at what art is selling for. A da Vinci painting sold for over $450,000,000 (back in 2017)!!!

You could sell, pocket some cash, and buy it back when things return to some sanity.

Much of my gear is rare and would be impossible to replace at budget prices. My Parker Midifly, Les Paul Memphis Black Beauty and Ovation Deacon 12 string come first to mind.

Yeah, no way Im parting ways with th Iceman, "rare" piece of gear that would be hard to replace.

I just bought a 2001 MIK Epiphone Les Paul standard for $290. Deals can still be had.

I think a big reason for inflated prices is inflation itself. That and some folks being hard up and trying to get as much as possible for whatever they're selling.
