Yamaha buys Guild, Cordoba

I saw that! Guild has gone through a lot of owners over the past 20 years. They should be more popular than they are, as every Guild I've played (and owned) has been a superb instrument.

The S-300 has always been on my GAS list, but now they are fetching collector's prices and are going for much more than I am willing to pay. It would be cool if they reissued them.

Guild factory is in Oxnard, CA. Just a little bit away from me. I've always wanted to do a factory tour but they don't offer them.

For reasons Im not getting into on here but I you and I have discussed in DMs -this probably affects me in a positive light.

Tired of trying to deal with the little kid in Hawaii making the calls over there.

Yamaha is great group to deal with, honestly thats pretty true for any Japanese run company.

Looks like they put the belly cut on the wrong side of the guitar.

Back in the old days, the three "G"s (Gibson, Gretsch, and Guild) were the best guitars made and they were pretty much equal in quality.
