I was at a Rik Emmett-(formally of Triumph) guitar Clinic tonight that my local guitar store hosted... Pretty cool stuff.. Rik does some amazing Acoustic music these days but also still rocks with a an electric once in a while.. (not to say the acoustic stuff didn't rock, god it was great!!). says the next record he has coming is much like old Triumph, big rock record.... They gave away a $800 Yamaha Pacifica Strat, lucky bugger... Wish i got it but what the heck...

anyways, does anyone own a mid to high priced Pacifica strat and what is the opinions on these guitars.... which is the better models.. I heard some of the top ones are Warmoth made? Which models are Walmoth made parts?

Just the Pacifica 904 nowadays, but only the neck comes from Warmoth.

I've played one of those pacifica 904s . . . they're very nice guitars and not too expensive. I have contemplated buying one as a backup electric guitar.

Re: Yamaha strats-Rik Emmett content

their upper end is actually very nice. smooth as anything.

Very cool info guys...... I'll look into those 904's.... i have played a few of the mid priced ones but i have no idea what model they were... they cost around $700 Canadian and have locking tuners, a good wilkinson style bridge... Alder body.... Cool features for a mid priced strat... the shape and headstock are kind of funky but the features are cool....

Re: Yamaha strats-Rik Emmett content

I just looked at Yamaha's site and the 904's are no longer listed.... but i'm sure the higher range Yamahas are nice.....
