Yes or No to RWRP ?

My planned PU configuration:

Parallel AxisTrembucker Blues Sarasceno PATB-3B

SSL-2 Vintage Flat for Strat Guitar Pickup

Parallel Axis Trembucker Original PATB-1 N

I will be using two recessed mini-toggles for Series/Parallel switching on the PATBs.

Is RWRP recommended for the middle pickup - or redundant - as the middle pu will only be used separately or with one or the other Trembucker.

Thanks!

Re: Yes or No to RWRP ?

I'm pretty sure it'll be redundant, unless you plan on splitting your trembuckers, in which case if you split the right coil you'll get hum-cancelling when using both pups together.

Re: Yes or No to RWRP ?

Yeah, I was leaning toward the same conclusion. I won't be splitting coils - just seeking a quiet combo and configuration. Thanks for the reply and for the warm welcome.

If you want a quiet setup in all positions and don't mind forking out a bit more cash, you might consider the STK-S4 Classic Stack Plus. I've never used one but they come very highly recommended.

Re: Yes or No to RWRP ?

Thanks. I did some research, and these STK-S4s have leapt into the lead. Sounds like a great combination of sound and non-sound. This pup and the PATBs will, I feel, remain on the instrument for awhile - the prior group have served me since the mid 80s - and so a premium in price I consider an investment.

You could always just wire it different if you need to have the RWRP capability.
