Yet another humbucker bar magnet comparison question

This is a bit different from all the other discussions I've read here. I couldn't find any previous discussions regarding this:

For all of you who have performed magnet swapping using genuine Duncan magnets and miscellaneous aftermarket magnets (Allparts, Allstar, Ampge, etc.), have you noticed any differences between the magnets of same type among the different sources?

For instance, does an A5 magnet from Allparts sound the same as an A5 magnet from a Duncan pickup?

I guess the main question is: Do magnets from Allparts, Allstar, Ampge, HighOrder, etc. have the same magnetic properties of same-grade, non-aged Duncan magnets?

Re: Yet another humbucker bar magnet comparison question

If there is any difference between fully charged magnets of the same Alnico grade, it is extremely subtle. What differences there are, are due mostly to either deliberate degaussing by the pickup maker, as Seymour does with Dun-Aging/Stunning, or inadvertent partial degaussing from all the bar magnets shipping in the same box to the pickup maker. Or accidental exposure of the guitar or pickup the magnet was in to strong magnetic fields.

Even how the store stacks pickups in their display cases can partially weaken magnets, something I think Seymour has commented on.

The alloy of each Alnico grade...

...is what it is so when fully charged, the difference should be just this side of infinitessimal.

That doesn't mean magnets can't be badly made, but I would imagine that since Alnico is so extremely brittle, if you don't make them right, they would crumble.

I would think there really aren't too many suppliers of magnets for use in guitar pickups. I could be wrong though. Sounds like it could be a good marketing angle.
