Yeah....I said its impossible to have not been influenced in some way by Nirvana, due to having grown up in the 90's...Being able to hear someones influences, or say "this reminds me of This, mixed with this, and This, and a pinch of this..."...is quite different than Implying some one is Unoriginal, or writes "clone" music. Ya know?

EDIT: After this point I had wrote something really mean, and heartless...So I've removed it. Ya don't dig us, thats kool. I will kindly keep my opinion of your music to myself, and ignore your opinions of mine. Its kool.

I never asked you to listen to my music and nor did you I. I commented and you've had some " major trauma " in your head there, it would seem from impulsive interpretation of what you read, and your response.

Indulge an old man for a moment.

The intro put me in mind of Peter Gabriel 3 ("Melt"). Then, I caught a whiff of "Lodger" period David Bowie. Then, instead, I began to think of the British New Wave groups from the early Eighties who were influenced by Bowie - particularly Bauhaus. By the end, the melody and fuzz tones reminded me of Nirvana.

If the intro guitar were doubled by raspy saxophone and the bass guitar were absolutely smothered in Boss CE-1 style chorus, the track would sound like Magazine (apart from the vocals, of course).

I wasn't the first to talk of similarities [ " sounds like " ]

The Reason I decided to not bother leaving up what I wrote is because, I had already figured out that you probably didn't mean your comment to be as negative as I took it initially (and I doubt it would have actually done any good). Being as you didn't really write anything "****ty" in your first post, just something that was worded in such a way as to come off as a weird left handed Dig.

You are right though...Others came before you and said "Hey this sorta reminds me of *insert whatever here*...", thus comparing us to something else...Occasionally things we are actually influenced by.
The Difference comes in the wording of those comments vs. the wording you used.
Saying something that sounds like you are implying someone is unoriginal, shouldn't be expected to be taken well. "Clone" has a negative connotation.
If you want your comments to not be taken the wrong way, I would suggest spending more time wording them in a way that won't be taken differently than you intended.

Anyways, theres no "major trauma" haha, Nor have I worked myself up into a frenzy...But I will defend my music, as anyone who doesn't suck would do...
Turns out you weren't really talking ****, and I took it the wrong way. So no big deal. The only one freaking out here, is you. So please, chill out...No need to go all "Australian" on me.
