Yngwie Malmsteen Accoustic Strat Japan ?

On the dvd ; Yngwie Malmsteen: Play Loud! (Parts 1,2 & 3)

in part 3 Yngwie is showing a fender stratocaster that has a scalopped neck , nylon strings and a piëzo pick-up .

He says on this video that this guitar is available for everybody and is made by Fender Japan


Also his double-neck 6+12 string will be made by Fender Japan

As we know jap fenders are not so expensive and usa ones , so I was searching the internet to find a price on this accoutic one and maybe will order it.

I searched for 2 days and came up with nothing . Anyone a clue where I might get some info/price for this thing ???

I don't know anything about it. Have you tried looking for any information on Yngwie's site?

That's a bit strange, because i found some newer malmsteen guitars on ebay which are stated to be "made in japan".
Well, there HAS been Fender guitars which were made in Japan and there was a japan signature strat like this:

As far as the accoustic goes, i saw a picture and it looked like a typical strat, except that it had no pickups and nylon strings.

Yeah I know that Fujigen Gakki actualy makes the fender japan guitars and shortly they will do it under a different name .

I read somewhere they will stay making Fender Japan Strats

I also visited Yngwie´s website but there is nothing that relates to this guitars

As I remember correctly he also said that both models will be in production by Fender Japan

I will certainly see it again on the dvd tommorow

If you want to do it yourself, it shouldn't be too hard. You'll just need a Strat, a new pickguard, a piezo bridge, and a preamp.

I was thinking about this , order some parts from warmoth and put it together

But isn´t the neck of a nylon acoustic a different lenght ? I mean will it work ?

I'm saying there never WAS one.

THey just spec out the guitar and have it made.
