You can have any guitar you want

Ask and you shall receive!

Edit: That's the original, no the CC8!

Rumor is that was Paul Kossoff's according to an article from an English guitar mag I read. Great looking guitar.

I would like either The above posted Natural Hamer Standard #0004 of Rick's or his Cherry Burst one, as that is Hamer Standard serial number #0000.

I read an interview with Bernie where the rumor was that it was the one Clapton played on the Beano album - Bernie says he added to the rumor because when people would ask if it was Eric's he would say "could be" because he didn't know for sure - how cool is that! According to the interview, trading guitars was just as popular among guitarists then as it is now, it's just that those guitars are "holy grails" now.

To the OP, if I was a betting man, I'd say Greeny's LP or Pearly would be the big $$$ burst. I don't know what KH paid, but Melvyn Franks paid $2 million for it when he bought it. I'm pretty sure Pearly could get that much if The Rev. was to ever sell her - although I'd hate to see that happen.

I am weird? I just want a piece of wood ,I remember when I worked in a music shop back in the late eighties and the PRS importer bought in a nice looking case ,when I opened it up it was lust at first sight - the quilt looked so deep it appeared to go right through the floor

Re: You can have any guitar you want

Actually, I'd like to change my answer: anything from Les Paul's collection, that he actually played with some serious regularity. The LP Recording that he played at The Iridium, for instance.

Why? Because I have a lot of respect for what the man accomplished both as a player and an innovator.

Re: You can have any guitar you want

a custom parker fly built by the man himself. otherwise any git fiddle i want, i just build it the way i want. for example a les paul like slash-alnico 2's except 25.5 inch scale with 24 frets and a floyd or an acoustic bridge in walnut burl. just build it.

right now my nashville tele build is the most amazing guitar ive seen besides a parker. quilted maple with a custom finish i made. a hand made henna design by a local artist with a special girls name on the headstock in urdu writing.

Re: You can have any guitar you want

Aside from having a 5 string bass of some sort, I'm happy with the guitars I have now, and have access to play. Though I always did want to build a neck through of some sort out of ironwood.

Re: You can have any guitar you want

Nothing over the top for me. I think the Richie Kotzen tele is going to be my graduation present to myself next year when i'm done w/ X-ray tech school.

I'd like a Giger S series.
